Recognition from the Premier of China
For volunteering to treat casualties of the devastating 2008 earthquake in Sichuan Province. His work led to a first-of-its-kind sister-hospital agreement between Israel and China, signed in the presence of Israel's ambassador.

Ethicon Visiting Professorship
The Association of Plastic Surgeons of India awarded Dr. Topaz its prestigious Ethicon Visiting Professorship in Cosmetic Surgery.
China's Friendship Award
Awarded China's Friendship Award by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (2009), the country's highest honor for foreign experts, alongside the Sichuan Jinding Award (2008) and the Shanxi Foreign Experts Friendship Award (2006).
