Technology that travels well
An independent single-center series from Nairobi, Kenya (Chege et al., Pan Afr J Plast Reconstr Aesthet Surg, 2026) reported flap- and graft-free closure of complex defects using the TopClosure® tension-relief system, at a device cost roughly 23-fold lower than microvascular free-tissue transfer: direct support for international dissemination of these technologies where reconstructive infrastructure is limited.
Treatment in Israel
International patient procedures are currently performed at Herzliya Medical Center, Israel. Consultation requests are welcome for infected cardiac devices (CIED), deep tissue pressure injuries, diabetic wounds and infected amputations, open abdomen, infected sternal wounds, and complex trauma wounds.
