International Activities

Dr. Topaz is conducting ongoing research pertaining to the application of new and advanced technologies. He is presently performing research at Ben Gurion and Bar Ilan Universities on the effects of ultrasound on soft tissue, and at the Technion regarding the aging effects of soybean oil in breast implants. His work has been published in various medical journals, and has been presented at numerous scientific meetings.

Dr. Topaz is Secretary-General of IQUAM (the International Committee for Quality Assurance, Medical Technologies and Devices in Plastic Surgery), and member and former Secretary-Treasurer of the Israel Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also Chairman of  IBIR (the International Breast Implant Registry), member of several international plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery societies such as:  The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American-Israeli Plastic Surgery Fellowship (AIPSF), and the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), AIUM (the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine), and ISBI (the International Society for Burn Injuries), and has served on the executive committee of IPRAS (the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery).

He has written and published articles in various medical journals and has actively participated in numerous scientific meetings in Israel and abroad.
